As we embark on the second year Via Fidelis, which is focused on The Power of Catechesis, Understanding the Faith, we seek renewal and revitalization. By deepening our understanding of the Sacred Scriptures, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the teachings of the Catholic Fathers and spiritual masters, we equip ourselves to grow spiritually with our fellow believers in South Carolina.
Our collective efforts to engage in parish life, participate in programs of formation and invite others to explore the faith will all serve to strengthen our faith community and bring it more under the Kingship of Jesus Christ. Together, let us remain consistent in our commitment to live out the Gospel, drawing inspiration from the timeless truths of our faith and the enduring example of the Lord Jesus.
Parish Action for April: This month, we encourage all parishioners to place a Catechism in your home. If you don’t own a Catechism of the Catholic Church, we suggest getting one this month and learning how to look up questions on teachings. Why? The Catechism makes the Deposit of Faith visible and accessible & becoming familiar reinforces trust in the Church’s teaching.
