5th Annual Meal Packing Event

2026 marks the fifth year of the St. Philip Neri World Hunger Drive. The focus of the World Hunger Drive is to help those in need in globally and here in our local community. Since the World Hunger Drive’s beginning in 2022, through your support and generous sharing of your time, we have packed 842,809 meals! 548,770 of these meals, in partnership with the St. Matthew World Hunger Drive Ministry in Charlotte, were shipped to Haiti for distribution by the Missionaries of the Poor. Last year, in partnership with Servants With A Heart, 211,680 meals were shipped to the Atulado Ministries in Cuba where the meals were distributed by churches feeding the poor in their communities. 82,359 meals were distributed to those in need in our local communities.
This year, our goal is to pack 230,000 meals – Once again, we be sending 200,000 meals to the Atulado Ministries in Cuba, and 30,000 meals will be distributed locally to those in need in our communities.
To accomplish this, we need your help!! 660 of you to be exact!! 220 per shift!!
This event is a great way for individuals, families and groups of all ages to work together, have fun, and fulfill our mission of serving our brothers and sisters in need, locally and around the world. Children age 8 and older can participate. There are a variety of jobs throughout the assembly line process that can accommodate young children and people with special needs.
We’ll be packing to great music provided by Rolling Thunder DJ Chris Pangalos who will keep us “packing to the beat.” Remember, 230,000 meals must be packed to meet our goal! Pick a shift and sign up!

We are also in need of energetic worker volunteers to help with several event job positions. There are several opportunities to participate in supporting the Meal Packing Event. Some are all-day positions and some that are covered per shift. Click on the button below to review all positions and sign-up.
In addition to packing 230,000 meals, we are looking to raise $40,000 which will pay for the cost of these meals.

A donation of $120 will feed a child for one year.
