5th Annual Meal Packing Event

The St. Philip Neri World Hunger Drive Meal Packing Event provides over 600 volunteers the opportunity to prepare and package meals for those of our brothers and sisters most in need globally and here in our local community. Since the World Hunger Drive’s beginning in 2022, we have packed 842,809 meals. This year marks our 5th year, and our goal is to pack 230,000 – 200,000 meals will be sent to Atulado Ministries in Cuba where the meals will be distributed to churches feeding the poor in their communities and 30,000 meals will be distributed locally.
If we meet our goal this year – we will have packed over 1,000,000 meals since 2022!!!
To accomplish this, we need your help!! 600 of you to be exact!! 200 per shift!!
This event is a great way for individuals, familes and groups of all ages to work together, have fun, and fulfill our mission of serving our brothers and sisters in need, locally and around the world. Children age 7 and up can participate. There are a variety of jobs throughout the assembly line process that can accommodate young children and people with special needs.
We’ll be packing to great music provided by Rolling Thunder DJ Chris Pangalos who will keep us “packing to the beat.” Remember, 230,000 meals must be packed to meet our goal! Pick a shift and sign up!

- Meal Packing Shifts: 8:00 am – 10:00 am | 10:30 am – 12:30 pm | 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

We are also in need of energetic worker volunteers (The Meal Packing Event Pit Crew) to help with several event job positions. There are several opportunities to participate in supporting the Meal Packing Event. Some are all-day positions and some that are covered per shift. In addition to packing 230,000 meals, we are looking to raise $40,000 which will pay for the cost of these meals.

A donation of $120 will feed a child for one year.
