Life Teen is the high school youth group open to all teens in grades 9-12. It is a great opportunity for teens to connect to each other and their faith!
The mission of Life Teen at St. Philip Neri is to form intentional Disciples of Christ by creating experiences where high school teens are able to encounter the Lord. This is done through Environment, Evangelization and the Eucharist. Life Teen:
– Provides an environment that allows for the formation of authentic community among teens through planning events that encourage fun and fellowship.
– Evangelizes through sharing the truths of the faith and the Good News of the Gospel in a relatable way and giving teens reason as to why these teachings are important to them personally.
– Exposes the teens to Christ in the most Holy Eucharist, the source and summit of the faith, on a regular basis.

EDGE, a program for sixth, seventh and eighth graders, focuses on Christ’s teachings by providing a fun and spiritually filled atmosphere that encourages our youth to grow and share in God’s love through our Catholic tradition. Faith is put into action, with children taking part in retreats and community-oriented service projects. EDGE meets on the first and third Sunday of each month, 6:45 pm – 8:30 pm, September through May. Volunteer opportunities are available for adults.

The Mass – Sundays, 5:30 pm
At the Sunday 5:30 pm Mass, teens and their families are invited to experience the depth of God’s love through the Word, the community and the Eucharist. All teens are welcome to sit as a community in one section and are encouraged to participate as lectors, ushers and extraordinary ministers of holy Communion. This Mass offers contemporary music.
Sacramental Preparation – Confirmation
For Catholics, the confirmation sacrament is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. By the sacrament of confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. St. Philip Neri Church offers a two-year confirmation program for ninth and tenth grade students. Classes are held the first and third Sundays of the month after the 5:30 pm Mass.
